I already presented you the top 10 famous cities to see in Italy, and you already know how much I like travel photos. You can take a day trip to visit Capri, or stay on the island in a hotel or timeshare for a longer period of time.
If you want some details about the island, you should know that it is located at just 17 nautical miles south of Naples and 3 from the Sorrento peninsula. The island has about 10 square km, 4 of which belong to the municipality of Capri and 6 to the municipality of Anacapri.
The flora and the fauna of Capri are also wonderful, and you should pay attention to the lush vegetation, the mesmerizing colours of the flowers, and, of course, to the lovely animals you may see here.
As you’ll easily see from these 10 photos that will make you want to travel to Capri, during the summer, the scenery is simply amazing. The blue water is impressive, and you have many places you can admire it from different angles.
Don’t miss Via Krupp – this is a historic switchback paved footpath that connects the Charterhouse of San Giacomo and the Gardens of Augustus area with Marina Piccola. You should know that he path covers an elevation difference of about 100 m, and you can see it from above (it is included in one of the photos below).
The etymology of the name “Capri” comes from the Latin “capraeae” (goats), and the island was inhabited since the Palaeolithic era. Another fun fact is that Caesar Augustus visited it in 29 B.C. And he was the first to build a villa on the island.
But, like I said, this is an article focused on photos. So please find below the 10 photos that will make you want to travel to Capri, Italy! (They are copyrighted, provided by a dear friend who visited the island twice.)
